Blue Valley community phone survey begins April 13

As part of Blue Valley’s ongoing commitment to maintaining exceptional learning environments that support lifelong learners prepared to navigate their future with purpose, the district is conducting a community phone survey. Beginning April 13, the district will partner with The Morris Leatherman Company to conduct a community survey designed to better understand how the community views potential future capital projects, taxation rates and the district’s overall value. This survey reflects the district’s commitment to listening, engaging and gathering input to guide future recommendations.

Last day announced for 2025-26 school year

The district has determined the last day of the 2025-26 school year for students will be May 21. This allows schools to maximize instructional time and uphold the district’s commitment to providing rigorous, engaging and equitable learning experiences for every student.

Committee members are appointed between June and August and serve one- or two-year terms. Current committees include Academics and Activities, Community and Finance and Operations. Patrons and community members interested in serving on a committee can submit an application online. 

Proposed 2027-28 calendar posted for review

The proposed 2027-28 school year calendar was presented to the Board of Education at the March 9 meeting. The calendar is now available for review. Comments can be submitted via this feedback form. The board will vote on the 2027-28 calendar at the April meeting.

BV Unmuted explores CTE programs

In the latest episode of BV Unmuted, Superintendent Dr. Chapman is joined by Blue Valley High senior Kennedy Zellers, Blue Valley alum and business owner Ethan Kushnir and Director of Career Ready Programs Adam Wessel, to discuss the rapid growth Blue Valley’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Together, they discuss the skills today’s businesses value most and how CTE is equipping students with the knowledge and real-world experience they need to succeed in the future.
